How to Trigger Your Speed Increase

Most golfers chase speed with their arms.

But the world's longest hitters produce it from the ground.

And they often use a lower-body "trigger" to get things moving.

This video highlights Bryson DeChambeau and Brad Dalke, two pros who can totally bomb it.

Notice what these guys do with their lower bodies to start their swings.

Yep, they use a quick pulse of force to power themselves out of the ground and move the club back really fast.

Give it a look and note these takeaways:

1. Unless you're already at 18/6, I'd encourage you to try a faster tempo (you'll gain distance)

2. To increase your tempo, you'll likely need to find a way to add force to your initial move

3. One best ways to do this is by using a lower-body pulse or "trigger."

More force from your lower body = more force into the club/backswing = an increase in tempo.

And all things being equal, with a faster tempo you WILL swing the club faster and hit the ball farther!
