How to Create a Wide Backswing for Speed and Power

 

When you "pull" the club back to start your backswing...

It's really easy to let your arms "collapse."

This is the exact opposite of staying "wide," which is a key ingredient to maximizing your speed, power and distance.

So, instead of pulling the club back, try feeling like you're pushing it. 

I'll show you what I mean in the video above. I think this works best using the Drag-N-Fly, but you might be able to achieve a similar feel with other things.
