Hi John. using the speedball five iron with the standard base.  Thinking of getting the power module but do I need the driver speedball or will the five iron give me the same results? Thanks in advance.

You don't have to have the driver.  You can still get great results with the Power Module and five iron.  The major benefit of the driver is that it is like swinging your own driver and you get use to swinging something that is longer, lighter, faster, & a slightly flatter swing plane.  Hope that helps.  Keep in mind that if you do get the driver, you need a slightly higher ceiling!!

Thanks John, Here in Ohio weve learned to dig deep basements to work on the game during the long off season.  While I have you here I am interested in some drills and maybe a flexibility suggestion for a slight over the top move.  Some years ago I had an operation on my right shoulder (I play RH) to resolve a dislocation issue.  I am having some issues leading with the right elbow on the down swing (the skipping the stone drill is a bit of a problem) and it flys a little to much at the top of the swing.  Both issues I am sure are due to some of inflexibility in the area.  Your thoughts on a speedball drill and or range of motion suggestion would be welcome.  Gained quite a bit of speed with the hit and hold drill and the SSR - quite impressive- keep up the great work.

RE: range of motion - I assume you had PT after surgery, keep doing those exercises.  Also, check out shoulder work @ mytpi.com

RE: flying elbow - try to feel like the RH is less active thru the swing and also check the RH only swings where you put your left arm on the back of your right tricep.  Check the Speedball DVD, that is a great drill for the elbow issue.

John, I noticed when you do the Y and L drill that you keep every thing one piece and then set your wrist. Is this what my takeaway should feel like on a full shot ?

Yes, I especially think this is important because if you get too writst/army going back, you want use your shoulders.
